Do you struggle with a disordered eating?
Do you continue to experience symptoms despite years of therapy?
Are you seeking a supportive, understanding and safe environment?
Ms. Love has spent several years working with clients who struggle with disordered eating. She has found that a comprehensive mind and body approach gives clients the greatest hope of a full recovery. Typical disordered eating treatment is addressed from a cognitive approach. Ms. Love’s approach deals with the cognitive issues, but also the physiological issues. Typical physiological issues include an inability for the nervous system to self regulate and therefore make it extremely difficult for the client who struggles with disordered eating to manage their anxiety and depression. Ms. Love’s mind and body approach, combined with her personal insights about what it took to recover after a 20 year battle with anorexia and bulimia, make her an ideal therapist for anyone struggling with disordered eating.
In addition, Ms. Love, a former long distance runner who competed at both the National and Olympic level, has a special interest in working with athletes, especially those struggling with eating disorders (dancers, gymnasts and long-distance runners).

TRAUMA SPECIALIST
Do you continue to experience symptoms despite years of therapy?
Do your symptoms continue despite telling your story over and over?
If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, you are not alone. “Traumatic symptoms are not caused by the event itself. They arise when residual energy from the experience is not discharged from the body. This energy remains trapped in the nervous system where it can wreak havoc on our bodies and minds" (Dr. Peter Levine)
Ms. Love's services are targeted at unwinding the binding emotional and physical symptoms that have kept you from getting back to the real you. Unlike typical talk psychotherapy, this is accomplished with an integrative mind and body approach.
